Nothing much..
Somtimes I will wake up after a nap, and a feeling of guilt and deep depressive remorse sets in. I review my life briefly and wonder what am I really doing with it?
I don't feel sorry for myself, just worried about what is to come?
I am 37, still haven't my degree, I live on the very edges of poverty, and make many plans but fail to even remotely finish them.
I worry to much or to little.Well enough serious bullshit now ust some things I don't understand.
-------------------------------------
Things I don't understand:
American mass stupidity.
T.V Evangelists,
Liberals,
Socialists,
Bull dyke lesbians,
Why they sell peanut butter 'crunchy' anymore,
Cats, both the muscial and the mammal,
Fake eggs/egg beaters...(sounds disgusting and sexually suggestive),
Pregnant porn, both from the perspective of the people who like it and the women whom perform it, I mean WTF?,
Magnum P.I. I mean is there ANY question that guy is gay? And what is UP with Higgins?,
Mark Twain,
Noam Chomsky,
CSI the series and House, wtf?,
Why there aren't more Austin Powers movies...,
Rice cheese..ewwwwch,
Why people HAVE to talk on cellphone while driving and REFUSE to buy a hands free,
Why people will drive like 80 miles an hour during a snowstorm WHILE talking on a cellphone,
Cops on patrol talking on their cellphones,
Sachrin.
We live in such a society that is very fragile. Fo example I am reading a classic novel. It's about a comet that calves and hits earth. People would be even more affected and effected by something like this occuring now. Just think about it, no technology, no law, no gas, no electricty, no fast food, no t.v., no computers.
A great mind once stated that:"Any nation is only three meals away from a revolution."
I say:" Civilization is only one cellphone away and a tank of gas shy of total barbarity."
So bearing this in mind I am thinking about ways I can be prepared and not obsessed with some sort of cataclysym. Maybe I will create a seperate blog for this and call it:"A Modern treatise on neo-ludism, and a practical nature of survival sans technology."
Imagine how long it would take for the mass of idiots we call the average person in the 2006 era to go fucking batshit apenutts if we simply lost all cellphone technology overnight?
What do you think stupid-ass rednecks and backwoods would do if we HAD to use means of transportation other than a BIG OL TRUCK? I mean I am not oppossed to people having any form of vehicle they like but look at how dependant people are physically on them. It would end in a month with possibly half of the population dying from strokes because they have to walk a mile a day.
So my kit would be:
Forms of production of food, both vegetables/produce and meat.
Brewing for beer and alcohol,
simple oils and candle making skills.
These are beyond the obivious stockpilings and hoarding of various amenoties and necesseties: Clothes, canned and dried foods, water, water purification, mending kits, tools, tubes and tools for bikes.Lamp oils, batteries..(maybe). Obviously some weapons and ample ammuntion. A recurve Bow and quiver of (24) arrows. A sword or Machete, and simple tools for most any situation.
Maybe renting a storage shed or two and stockpiling things there and IF you have time draw them forth.
I am not suggesting making it my only goal in life or to obsess over it, but I would like to survive and live somewhat civlized. My only other option is to become a cannibal..which is probably what most people will end up doing as we live in a very lazy and expectant society here in the U.S.
Well so much for this bullshit, I'll type more later.
