Revolt in Bishkek

Well it has been two weeks since the overthrow of Akayev.
The media never tells the whole story so I woulsd add to it only that there was mass looting and rip-off artists as a result of the chaos that ensued for several days.
My family is fine, and some level of 'normalcy' has returned to Bishkek and for that matter Kyrgyzstan. A new fear is arising in the area however. The vacume left by a former sovietesque strong man has left the door opened for radical ismalm to make inroads to this poor nation already flirting with militant Islam. The election is on June 26th and I will be keeping this blog up-to-date on its result. Kyrgyzstan COULD become a Islamic theocracy to some degree.
